The Network State and Infrastructure Blight as a Weapon
Venture capitalists like to make huge elaborate song and dances about how the American institutions are falling apart and all of the cities are falling apart and all of the financial system is falling behind and the universities suck. And on and on we go.
Much of this is true and will be more true… in large part because venture capitalists, entrusted with the technological infrastructure and its advancement, decided to build their own economy, cities, nations, and institutions instead: what they call the “parallel”, the Network State.
They’ve sucked huge amounts of capital out of the country and its people, absorbed huge amount of talent and the workforce into their apparatus, and then take it right off stage right. It no longer circulates. It no longer participates in the circle of economic life in the nation-state.
They are stopping maintenance and technological advancement and parity within the American enterprise, media, financial system and universities, and are well into the process of ripping the technological function out of all that, by sabotaging it and letting it decay. They are too busy putting all their time and energy into the construction of the Network State and its parallel economy and land and civilization and military.
They have made nation-states come to rely on their products and services for the technological functions of society. Now they are going their own way, leaving the existing system with a massive technological deficit. To fucking rot and fall apart. They hate us.
It is often said in the tech industry that it is easier to build new things than maintain old things.
One of the major investors in venture capital firms is… schools. School endowments have invested heavily in venture funds to get returns that will allow the university to operate and grow. In 2018, Yale, with a $29.4 billion endowment, invested in Andreessen Horowitz’s inaugural crypto-specific fund. It also invested in Paradigm, founded by ex-Coinbase people; Paradigm is an investor in the Network State of Praxis.
But are venture capitalists giving our school system their best technology? Fuck no. They are building their own educational platforms and their own schools. Thiel’s University of Austin Texas. The Network State school. A16z’s Wonderschool:
“At Wonderschool, our mission is to provide quality child care to every child in the world. There is a major shortage of affordable childcare and preschools in the United States; and at the same time, many early childhood educators and young parents struggle to make ends meet. Wonderschool empowers current and aspiring in-home care providers with all the tools and support they need to start, run, and grow a childcare business in their home.”
So, the gig economy to bootstrap a venture capital school system. They have their MO that is for sure.
Andreessen Horowitz’s Udacity, which is basically trade school for the tech world, with data science, programming, cloud computing and AI classes. AKA, instead of going to existing technical universities, youth will go to a trade school for venture capitalists. This is indeed the entire goal of the the parallel education system. They are trying to replace the education system with trade schools that are built entirely around fulfilling the workforce needs of the venture capitalist.
There’s Maven, similar to Udacity, with career education in AI, product management, marketing and sales, offering its own certificates in things like AI product strategy and AI product management. Absolute vom.
There’s Prisms, in 2022: “A new startup wants to teach kids math through virtual reality. It just raised $4 million from A16z and the cofounder of Oculus.”
And honestly Y Combinator can be seen through this lens as many of the startups produced by Y Combinator kindof fall through because its a bunch of 19 year olds but they are now uploaded on the whole startup thing and ready to go work at a startup. Babysitting for future tech psychopaths.
So what happens to the schools when the technological function of the country stops giving schools the best technologies and instead starts building their parallel education system? The infrastructure begins to fall apart.
What is referred to as the “enshitification” of the internet and everything is actually venture capital abdicating its responsibilities to the rest of the country and its enterprises and institutions in favor of building their own secessionist system.
The same thing can be said of the existing financial system. The venture capitalists decided to kill the existing financial system in favor of all this crypto shit and as a result the financial sector which has relied on the technology industry is left with a rotting technical infrastructure. Allllll that money and talent that has gone into crypto COULD have gone into keeping the existing financial infrastructure up to snuff. But where is the fun in that?
Now they have weakened all of this infrastructure as they go on to the next stage of looting and develop what is needed to replace it.
And we can see this across the board. The technological function of venture capital which exists and has been sustained by the American institutions of all kinds, funded by American institutions of all kinds, subsidized to the ends of the earth by the fucking American government — venture capital is telling all of that shit to get fucked.
And this is after insinuating themselves so deeply into the infrastructure of America that the enterprise and the government have barely maintained any functional independent capability in these systems, accelerated by the era of cloud computing in which technological capacity was outsourced to mega cloud computing providers; in that hole Oracle now slips in but remains white-glove, with systems maintained almost entirely by Oracle and thus at its mercy, which is little.
And what about our cities? Marc Andreessen complains at great length about the decaying state of the cities, disingenuously stating:
“We also can’t build the cities themselves anymore. When the producers of HBO’s ‘Westworld’ wanted to portray the American city of the future, they didn’t film in Seattle or Los Angeles or Austin—they went to Singapore. We should have gleaming skyscrapers and spectacular living environments in all our best cities at levels way beyond what we have now; where are they?”
But Marc isn’t working on making American cities better. He’s too busy funding the Network State, the California Forever project in Solano County California, after his cronies and his companies and his economy wrecked San Francisco.
Marc Andreessen wants his own fucking gleaming cities. MBS showed him this was possible and he never looked back.
They have gotten rich off us. Venture capitalists have gotten their money to invest from schools and pensions. We as consumers have given them their profits and returns by using and paying for their products. The government which we fund has given them tax breaks and subsidies and huge contracts. They have insinuated themselves into every part of the American economy and life, but they are now abdicating all responsibility that came with it, leaving our institutions, cities and financial systems to rot behind them, having left behind the technological infrastructure footprint it obtained via monopoly — a monopoly it fought tooth and nail to secure. We are now at their mercy.
This act forwards the mission of the downfall of the global financial system and nation-states and is one of their primary weapons.
